hogTV Halloween Special 2026

FANGS FOR THE BLOOD, SUCKA!
hogTV
Original pressing, very good condition

hogTV is back this Thursday (29/10/26) for another sporadic, seasonal appearance, with a spooktacular halloween special!

Starting things off @ 4:45PM GMT, guest host Namgorf treats us to a selection of short films.
hogTV then officially begins @ 6PM.

I’m surprised to see noone else has shown Island of Lost Souls, so that’s what we’re going with. It’s unusally short at just 70 minutes long, it stars Charles Laughton and Bela Lugosi, and it features the iconic line, “Are we not men?”

There’s all new spooky idents and exclusive hogTV content between shows. I’ve also edited together a piece which wasn’t meant for halloween, but it’s so horrific I thought it belonged here. I’m calling it KOR-AI-IS-NASTY (description below).

I’ve spent far too much time and effort preparing this one, hopefully it’ll be appreciated.

16:45 – NamTV
An assortment of spooky shorts chosen and presented by our Texan contri-boo-tor, Namgorf.

18:00 – hogTV / Courage The Cowardly Dog – King Ramses’ Curse

18:10 – The Ren & Stimpy Show – Haunted House

18:25 – The Simpsons – Treehouse of Horror IX
A fairly decent Simpsons episode that has not been shown on CABTV before, from the tail-end of the golden era.

18:45 – Tom & Jerry – The Flying Sorceress (1956)

18:50 – Happy Tree Friends – Out of Sight, Out of Mime

18:55 – Smiling Friends – A Silly Halloween Special

19:05 – Fat Albert’s Halloween Special (1977)
Hey hey hey.

19:30 – Joe Pera Talks With You – Joe Pera Takes You on a Fall Drive
Joe Pera takes viewers along on his Fall Loop, the drive he does every year on the Saturday following Halloween.

19:40 – The Terrors of Jordan Mendoza – Finally Got a Good Therapist
This aired only last week!

19:55 – Halloween Commercials / It Only Takes A Second
Seasonally appropriate commercials for children’s toys, bevvies, cigs, etc. And then a short educational video about what can go wrong if you don’t follow safety guidelines (a lot apparently).

20:00 – Betty Boop’s Hallowe’en Party (1933)

20:05 – Film Trailers

20:10 – Who Killed Rover (1930)
A dog tries to rescue a kidnapped heir (who is also a dog (they’re all dogs)).

20:25 – Island of Lost Souls (1932)
Pre-code horror classic! After getting shipwrecked, Edward, a sailor, comes across Dr Moreau, a strange scientist, who conducts genetic experiments on animals to turn them into humans. While Edward is stranded on the island, Moreau tries to convince Edward to have sex with Lota (half woman, half panther), inhumanity ensues!

21:40 – KOR-AI-IS-NASTY
The theme of inhumanity continues. It’s 25 minutes of fast-paced, unstable AI-generated video that I’ve edited to music. Most of the video is sourced from a single creator named kingcon2k11 from around 2024. The accompanying music is from Death Grips’ album Fashion Week.
Pretty intense, possibly unwatchable.

22:05 – Perversions of Science – Panic
An anthology show spun-off from Tales From The Crypt that nobody remembers. In this episode, some boys at a Halloween party panic when they hear a radio announcement of a Martian invasion. Directed by Tobe Hooper.

22:30 – Out of the Inkwell – Koko’s Haunted Hat / Koko Sees Spooks (1925)
Fleischer animated short, with music by Aphex Twin!

22:40 – The Cramps on The Tube, 1986
An extended 20 minute performance by The Cramps, only 10 minutes of which aired.

23:00 – Misc.
It’s a spooky secret.

23:10 – Fin
Like the scary shark from Jaws’ fin.

SHIT!
