Flouncer’s Wednesday Whackoff (02.11.22)

This will be the first instalment of a two part Throwback (I’ll be broadcasting tomorrow as well). We start out with some Ceefax and schools programming, including The English Programme, looking at Minder and the people who watch it! Some kids programming follows, then we have a double bill of, er, The Bill. Security-based tomfoolery follows with Plaza Patrol, then we meet Briggs and Louis in The Detectives. Rather than a film I’m showing the feature length opener of London’s Burning. This will be followed by news and documentaries: The Cook Report looks into Chinese gang activity in Manchester, and World in Action sends a reporter undercover to live on the streets of London in the first of a three part series. We finish up with Micro Live, some OU programming and a closedown.
