Aloha folks, it just occurred to me that now that i’ve finished Lotus Eaters on thursdays, i’m at a crossroads. there are two more series by the same director lined up and ready to go – however there are also two series of Limetown (which i’ve just managed to locate after a drunken acquisition night) should we alternate, or head through the Michael J Bird stuff in full before moving on to Limetown? let me know in the comments below – cheers
Hiya! Had never heard of Limetown until now, but having googled, the premise (“Journalist Lia Haddock attempts to solve the mystery behind the disappearance of over 300 people at a neuroscience research facility in Tennessee”) sounds quite interesting. Wouldn’t mind watching that before we get back to the MJB stuff.
However, according to the internet, there seems to be only ONE series of Limetown (the TV series) – Facebook Watch cancelled it after the first series (possibly, but probably not actually, because its star Jessica Biel caught her husband Justin Timberlake daring to hold her co-star Alisha Wainwright’s hand).
The original podcast, on which the TV series was based, DID have two series though (the second one of which was deemed “very disappointing”). So do make sure you haven’t just drunkenly acquisited two series of the podcast. 🙂 Although if you have, that could be handy for your radio slot…
it’s definitely the “tv” series, 10 episodes (30 min each) – i thought i saw a season 2 floating about somewhere that i was looking at grabbing, but that turned out to be the second series of the podcast with a graphic over the top. i did enjoy the podcast when it popped up in the feed
i never got round to actually watching it, so this will be a first for me too.
