21:16 – Fast and Loose S01E01Not having had time this week to decide which ITV sitcom to torture you all with next, let alone find it, rip it and upload it, instead I present the following I found sitting on my C: drive, which (I think) madhair60 sourced for me after a chatroom conversation a couple of years ago, as I’d never heard of it and it sounded interesting: a British television series which was broadcast on BBC Two in 2011. Conceived by Dan Patterson, one of the creators of the TV series Whose Line Is It Anyway? and Mock the Week, it mirrors those series in format and style with the addition of some new games. Each episode had six performers, with an additional guest performer for one of the sketches. Guests take part in improvised sketches in which each comedian inhabits a certain character or film genre. The only series was eight episodes long and was hosted by comedian Hugh Dennis. Having had a quick peek at it, there also seem to be some similarities with that Aussie improv show that OTHTV showed (did it even have the same name?), in particular a segment where they’re lying on the floor with a top-down camera pointed at them.

This week your performers are: Greg Davies, Justin Edwards, Pippa Evans, Humphrey Ker, Marek Larwood and Laura Solon. First broadcast on Fri 14th Jan 2011 at 10pm by BBC2.

21:45 – The Mind of Mr. J.G. Reeder S01E07 – The Troupea British television series which was originally broadcast on ITV in two series from 1969 to 1971. It is based on a series of novels and short stories written by Edgar Wallace featuring the character of J.G. Reeder, who had appeared in several film adaptations in the late 1930s. Sixteen episodes were made, all but two in black-and-white. Reeder is a mild-mannered civil servant at the Department of Public Prosecutions with an extraordinary gift for solving complex crimes, due to being able to think exactly like a criminal.

This week, a Canadian confidence man, along with his gang (known as a “troupe”), are in London to pull off a big swindle, but without evidence, Reeder must watch and tally up clues while fighting his boss for permission to do so. First broadcast on Wed 4th June 1969 by ITV. Featuring, amongst others, Patrick Bedford, Peter Cellier, Geoffrey Lumsden, Vanessa Shaw and Judy Bloom.

22:37 – Eurotrash S11E05The legendary late-night magazine show starring Antoine de Caunes, exploring unusual and bizarre topics from Europe and around the world. This week, we have Alabina, Bettina Rheims, Balloon Man, Domenique, Russian Eurotrash Ripoff, Dylan’s Boys, Adriana Sklenarikova: Bicycle Pump, Austrian Sex Olympics, Eva & Adele, Willie Batenburg. First broadcast on Fri 18th Dec 1998 by Channel 4.

23:00 – Thriller S02E04 – One Deadly Ownera British television anthology series, made by ATV for the ITV network and originally broadcast in the UK from 1973 to 1976. As the title suggests, each story is a thriller of some variety, from tales of the supernatural to down-to-earth whodunits. The series was created by Brian Clemens (of The Avengers, The Professionals, and many others fame), who also scripted the majority of the episodes and story-lined every installment.

This week, fashion model Helen is so infatuated with a Rolls-Royce that she spends her savings to purchase it. However the car seems to have a mind of its own. Helen begins to believe that the car is haunted, and her investigation leads her into the middle of a mystery and into unexpected danger… First broadcast on Sat 16th Feb 1974 by ITV. Starring Donna Mills, Jeremy Brett, Robert Morris, Laurence Payne… and see if you can spot who the Radio Announcer is!

00:05 – Thriller S02E04 – Alternate USA titles – When “Thriller” was exported to the USA, the Americans completely redid the opening and closing titles in a rather trippy manner, sometimes inserting their own newly-shot teasers (using actors shot from a distance or from the neck down!). Here are the ones for this episode.

00:11UFO S01E09(P13) – Close UpRepeated from earlier for our late-night viewers.

01:00 – Closedown music.

01:05 – Closedown.
