Final Throwback (01.04.21)

This evening we’ll be rolling back the years one last time with the Final Throwback. Starting off with some Ceefax action, schools stuff and PIFs, we then move onto a selection of our usual shows and an April 1993 edition of Crimewatch UK. This is followed by the infamous Dennis Potter play Brimstone and Treacle, originally intended to be broadcast as a Play For Today in 1976 but ultimately shelved due to its sensitive subject matter. After a Crimewatch Update, we join a 1980 World in Action investigation into the treatment of benefit claimants, then a 1994 Equinox about rave culture. We round off the evening with an episode of Micro Live, then an IBA Engineering Announcement brings us to the final closedown.
