This week we have two replacement shows – we continue the Alexei Sayle saga with Merry Go Round, and Limmy’s Show will be replaced by… Bottom! Some episodes have been shown on here before but I thought it would be good fun to revisit the whole series. I’ve shown Filthy Rich and Catflap and The Young Ones, so it seemed logical to complete the set.

Watch out for the first post-Waterman Minder as series 8 introduces Arthur’s new sidekick, his nephew Ray. Our film tonight is The China Syndrome (1979), a tense neo-noir thriller starring Jack Lemmon, Jane Fonda and Michael Douglas.
