Doc, Hank, Brock and Dea- hang on a minute… Doctor Benton Quest, his son Jonny, “Race” Bannon, Hadji and “Bandit” the pooch star in this adventurous animation from Hanna-Barbera. A former archaeologist friend-turned Arab nationalist revolutionary named Ahmed Kareem, who is being stalked by a vengeful mummy, attempts to frame Dr. Quest and Race for the theft of a priceless Egyptian artifact, a statue.
Note: This is the only episode where Vic Perrin voices somebody other than Dr. Zin (Dr. Ahmed Kareem in this case).

Aside from Larry, Curly and Moe venturing to Egypt in pursuit of riches, We Want Our Mummy was the first Stooge film to employ “Three Blind Mice” as the Stooges’ official theme song.

18:30 – Cannon S01E10 – No Pockets In A Shroud
Private gourmand and sometime dick Frank Cannon is a man with a car phone. And a gun. But a car phone was more impressive in 1971. “Tonight’s episode”: An attorney hampers Cannon’s investigation into a case involving an eccentric millionaire and his missing heir. Featuring Roy Scheider, Arthur O’Connell, and Linda Marsh.

19:20 – Goodbye Pork Pie (1980)

Dumped by his girlfriend, a man joins a reckless youth in a stolen yellow mini and they drive the length of New Zealand, attracting cops and media attention, determined to get to Invercargill.
Featuring a 1978 British Leyland Mini 1000, Goodbye Pork Pie was filmed during November 1979, using only 24 cast and crew. Its overheads were surprisingly minimal, to the point that the police cars used doubled as crew and towing vehicles, and that the director Geoff Murphy performed some of the stunts himself.

21:10 – Jon Benjamin Has a Van S01E09House on the Lake
Jon talks to a Broadway producer (Patton Oswalt) about his newest success, but finds that the JBHV van has been towed out of Times Square. He also hits the streets of New York City with a friend (David Cross) on a mission to dispel stereotypes.

21:30 – Bubba Ho-Tep (2002)
Horror-comedy, co-produced and directed by Don Coscarelli (Phantasm). Staring Bruce Campbell as Elvis Presley—now a resident in a nursing home – with a cameo from Reggie “Reggie!” Bannister; A care home in East Texas experiences a wave of unusual deaths. With noone bothered by the residents popping off, one resident – the King himself – takes it upon himself to uncover this evil force, joining up with former president John Fitzgerald Kennedy (Ossie Davis) along the way.

Originally the film was “roadshowed” by the director across the United States. Only 32 prints were made and circulated around various film festivals, though this garnered critical success, and it went on to win the Bram Stoker Award for Best Screenplay.”

Doc stays home to watch a supposed skin flick “solo-a-man-o” while the boys go out. On a double-date! With Trianna Orpheus and her friend, Kim! What could go wrong? Nothing that a cast of grown adult idiots in butterfly costumes couldn’t somehow make worse, that’s for sure.
