OTH Weekly Zeppelin

Here we go again…

this byker grove episode seems to have a lot smaller file size than the rest and it looks like only half of it’s there. the rest of this series looks ok though. if i find a full version of it by next week i’ll stick another mini-drone together or something.

Under the mountain ends this week, the culmination of the slug monster story

new wave theatre – Bad Religion and red wedding? what’s not to like?

The Story of Pop Radio. from 1982. a late substitution because i’m an idiot and left the damn hard drive with songlines on at home. there’s 6×45 minutes of this, and as they run sequentially, we’ll be having all 6 before returning to songlines which are a standalone job.

Dark Side of the Ring – this week’s story is the death (read murder) of Bruiser Brody. a cautionary tale to which the moral is “it doesn’t matter how big a star you are, if you piss the wrong bunch of utter shitebags off, you’re gonna get stabbed in the shower and nobody’s going to face the consequences for killing you”. As with all of these programmes, the stories surrounding what happened are loaded with experiences of life on the road as a wrestler. This one’s a whole odd kettle of fish though as it’s Puerto Rico in the 80s. The territory there was absolutely berzerk. The fans took it incredibly seriously, and were violent about it. The wrestlers and promoters did things VERY differently to the rest of the territory system. This case has never been officially solved though there’s a LOT of suspicion pointed at certain people who may or may not appear in this here programme.
