This strand of OTH will differ slightly from OTH in that apart from a couple of exceptions, there’ll be a focus on shorter series. A radio block will be added into the start of this lineup which will consist of “Guerilla Radio” – might be next week, might be the week after. depending on life outside of CABTV.
At 6pm we have The Paper Lads , a Tyne Tees produced chidrens drama following the lives of paperboys in the 70s/80s. following that, light entertainment with comedy and magic in Stuff The White Rabbit. just before 7pm, we begin our journey on the Ilea with the first double bill of Jupiter Moon.
at around 7.40pm, we enter the Action Zone with the first of 6 episodes of the Transatlantic Wrestling Challenge – the first attempt at brinking wrestling back to ITV – this tournament was never repeated and was a project of the british arm of the NWA. it features a league competition leading to a knockout tournament featuring UK and USA wrestlers from across the NWA as it was in 1998/1999. Then at 8.25 the first installment of Solitary – as 9 contestants try to survive the tests, tortures and treatments of a sadistic Big Brother style host “VAL”
Around 9.10 Southern TV’s Together begins with a double bill. Look out for a young Sarah Green in that.
Comedy from north of the border at 9.55 with the first episode of Naked Video
And we round out the night with two drama series at 10.25, first Francis Urqhrdt’s rise to political prominance in House of Cards, then at 11.20 Within These Walls explores the lives of those in, and those working in a women’s prison
