I’ve decided to break the alphabetical ordering of my film selections this week and jump all the way from B and over to W, with the film Wild Tales. I figured that it might be nice to follow on from last week’s anthology film The Ballad of Buster Scruggs with another anthology film. Rest assured that though I may have temporarily broken the alphabetical ordering of my schedule, this week’s film still very much fits within my overall ‘Great Films Season’ theme.

Wild Tales (2014)

Though Spain may be known for it’s sunshine, the comedy within this Spanish anthology film by director Damián Szifron is most assuredly of the pitch black variety. Comprising of six individual tales, you can expect narrative twists and turns (and in one of the tales about road rage; literal twists and turns) in this multi-award winning (and Oscar nominated) film revolving around the running theme of violent revenge.
