Feature Presentation
The Guardian (1990)
In this horror film co-written and directed by William Friedkin (The Exorcist), a couple with a newborn child, hire a nanny to help them out around the house. However, this nanny is not all she first appears to be. With more than a few shades of The Hand that Rocked the Cradle to it (released two years after The Guardian, it should be noted), this rather underrated cult horror film shakes things up by bringing in an element of The Evil Dead to proceedings.

WHAT THE CRITICS SAID…
“A worthless piece of trash. In fact, the only useful thing about The Guardian is its supplementary TV guide and even then people would be far better off buying a copy What’s On TV, where I host my semi-regular horror film column ‘The Watching Hour’ and display my limitless insight into all the latest releases with the realm of the ghoulish cinematic arts. As for why I, a film critic with a vast knowledge of the medium, has been tasked by my editor to review a liberal wank rag broadsheet instead of a new film release is an entirely different matter altogether and something which I shall be having stern words with him about tomorrow morning (you’re fired, you pompous, idiotic buffoon – ed.).” ~ Percival Lebb (Rock, Shock & Drop magazine)

I HAVE A QUESTION!!
Exorcist III Theatrical Cut (109:59) or Director’s Cut (104:30)????
A mix of both! I’m doing a fan edit for the stream, where I combine the best elements of both versions. I’m doing the same thing for The Exorcist (1973) too.
