9:50 THRILLER SEASON FILM: Witness (1985)

The Meatball TV thriller film season continues.

In this thriller from director Peter Weir, after witnessing a brutal murder, a young Amish boy and his Mother seek protection from a police officer. However, evidence of police corruption is soon uncovered and the trio flee to the Amish countryside. There, immersed in Amish culture and tradition, the police officer struggles to adapt.

Starring Harrison Ford and Kelly McGillis.

“Harrison Ford renders one of his best dramatic performances, for which he won his sole Oscar nomination, in Peter Weir’s beautifully shot feature, which is effective as a cop thriller as well as a chronicle of the rural Amish subculture.”
~ Emanuel Levy (EmanuelLevy.com)

“Don’t know much about history.
Don’t know much biology.
Don’t know much about a science book.
Don’t know much about the French I took.”

“But I do know that I hate this film
and if you have taste, then so will you.”
~ Percival Lebb (Rock, Shock and Drop Magazine)
