18:07 – Sheepy’s opening music.
18:10 – You Must Be Joking! S01E02 – a wry, energetically irreverent comedy show of a kind never previously seen before on children’s TV, this show launched an unknown bunch of kids onto the TV screen with unpredictable results! Led by writer-performers Ray Burdis and John Blundell, and featuring future BAFTA winner Pauline Quirke, the talented teenagers were “supervised” by comedian and long suffering lone adult Jim “Bullseye” Bowen. An anarchic mix of topical and satirical sketches, the series also featured Elvis Payne taking a cynical look at each week’s news and live music came from youth popsters Flintlock, led by the multi-talented Michael Holoway. Directed by Roger “Tomorrow People” Price and Neville Green, and made in association with the Anna Scher Children’s Theatre. First shown by ITV on 11th June 1975.
