Sheepy’s Show #94 – Mon 2024/06/03

Due to family stuff there’s been no time to properly prepare tonight’s stream. So you’re getting it raw with no nips and tucks, prepare to be splattered by Fremantle and woozily chimed by ITV.

I may not be around for the first hour or two.

Obviously, therefore, skeleton-ish schedule.

17:35 – Sheepy’s opening caption and music.

17:39 – Thames TV morning start-up music

17:44 – Only When I Laugh – S04E07 – The Reunion – This week, in the last-ever episode, the patients are discharged on the same day – somewhat reluctantly given their lengths of stay – and decide to have a reunion the same evening in a restaurant. By chance Dr Thorpe is there with Hilary, who is emphatically not his wife, and when Thorpe goes to make a phone call, Glover, seeing her alone, moves in… First broadcast on Thu 16th Dec 1982 by ITV. Previously shown on CABTV on Sheepy’s Show #58 – Mon 2023/07/03.

18:10 – You Must Be Joking! S00E00 – UNBROADCAST PILOT – The 1974 pilot for the series, made a whole year before the first series aired in May 1975. Remained completely unseen until it was included on the Network DVD set. Apparently many of the sketches were reused for Series 1.

18:40NEW-ISH!Timeslip S01E01 – The Wrong End of Time E01/06When a young girl vanishes near a derelict naval station in St. Oswald, a fantastic series of events is set in motion which sends teenagers Simon Randall and Liz Skinner back in time to 1940 and the very night when the base was taken over by a group of German marines. First broadcast on Mon 28th Sept 1970 by ITV. Previously shown on CABTV on Phil’s Sunday Thing – Sun 2019/07/14.

19:04 – Clangers (New) S01E48 – The Wols

19:15 – UFO S01E05(P08) – A Question of Priorities

20:05 – Tales of the Unexpected S04E05

20:30 – The Sweeney S01E03

21:22 – Keep It In The Family S05E03

21:46 – The Mind of Mr. J.G. Reeder S01E03

22:38 – Eurotrash S11E01

23:01 – Thriller S01E10Last of the first series.

00:08 – Thriller S01E10 – Alternate USA titles – When “Thriller” was exported to the USA, the Americans completely redid the opening and closing titles in a rather trippy manner, sometimes inserting their own newly-shot teasers (using actors shot from a distance or from the neck down!). Here are the ones for this episode.

00:15 – Closedown music.

00:20 – Closedown.
