My bad – it’s actually Dimension Bomb, which is part of the Genius Party Beyond anthology.
It plays like an extended music video (see also Ken Ishii’s Jelly Tones video), with what looks like a source animation given the William Burroughs treatment. There may be some kind of plot or meaning in there somewhere, but don;t let the effort to find it spoil the first watch through. Just go with the flow.

Angel’s Egg is quite a contrast. Slow paced with lots of static shots… I counted one line of dialogue in the first 25 minutes. It still contains some startling imagery (imo), and like DB there’s not much in the way of a plot. It’s up to you to interpret the scene it sets. For anyone who is interested there’s a film called In the Aftermath, which features segments of this film spliced into a live action post apocalyptic movie, and dubbed with lines that have nothing to do with the original.

I had no idea what the Dresser was about when I first saw it, and I loved every minute. It features two actors at the top of their game. It might help to know yer King Lears from yer Othellos, but only marginally.

Anyway. Much kudos and karma to Flouncer for once again hosting Sploff Vision.
