The Throwback returns for an autumn instalment. Kicking off at 4 with some pages from ITV’s Oracle, we spend a lazy afternoon with some schools programming: Going Places looks at leisure time, Making a Living delves into gloomy Thatcherite unemployment, followed by a bit of light relief with Victoria Wood presenting Insight. Some vintage CITV is up next as we join CaB TV’s paterfamilias and loan-hawking brainbitch Vorders in How 2.
The drama segment commences with Home and Away. Johnson from Peep Show turns up in The Bill, and Pauline deals with the aftermath of Willie’s arrest in Eastenders. Top of the Pops brings us into the evening, followed by Crimewatch and some news.
On the last stretch, World in Action tackles crack dealers in Stoke Newington, then Rog drags his enormous balls across Croatia to doorstep a Serbian warlord in The Cook Report. We finish off the evening with Electric Avenue and some OU programming before heading off into the small hours with the inevitable closedown.
