Bank OTHerday Monday

four films, no connection apart from that they all looked amusing.

11:50 – Convict 99 (uk – vintage comedy)
A disgraced school master, Benjamin Twist, is mistaken for a tough prison governor and assigned the charge of a prison for particularly hardened criminals. Believing he is being sent to a school rather than a prison, he celebrates accordingly only to find that his drunkenness accidently lands him on the wrong side of the prison bars. The Governorship is eventually restored to him, and he sets about popularising himself amongst the convicts by turning a blind eye to their shady dealings.

13:14 – The Horses Mouth (uk – slightly less vintagecomedy)
An ill-behaved, lovably scruffy painter, Gulley Jimson, searches for a perfect canvas, determined to let nothing come between himself and the realization of his exalted vision.

14:48 – Shot Down (strong language – possible violence – not watched it yet – RSA)
Made in 1986 during a State of Emergency by the Johannesburg group Weekend Theatre, Shot Down follows the moral and political confusion of one Paul Gilliat, hired by the State Bureau to investigate a subversive township performance group and track down its leader,…

OTH SportzDrone

aloha folks – last one of these i’ll be doing for a couple of weeks as i’m absolutely stowed off. after this week the SportzDrone will return on september 15th with the Banzuke Breakdown and the opening of the September Basho, and a territory change in the wrestling as we go right to the start of Smokey Mountain Wrestling – the territory run by Jim Cornette. A different presentation, and some other “before they got big” names along with a few who were winding down.

11:30 – 3-Cushion Kozoom Challenge Cup – Group C Sets 1&2
no idea why group B has been nerfed – probably a streaker or something

12:21 – USWA TV Christmas day 1993 (last one)
in all honesty the Gilbert’s booking ain’t doing it for me. im as surprised by this as you, but happy christmas anyhow.

13:06 – Grand Sumo July Basho day 14 highlights, day 15 full show
it all comes down to this. Kotozakura’s doing it for his family, Ura’s unpredictable, and Terunofuji’s started to crack after taking that one defeat in the basho so far opening up the leaderboard. There are now five close competitors with two days to go.…
