Wrestling, Sumo and Extreme E racing. not much more to say really 🙂
schedule notes:
Ship to Shore: we’re almost at the end of series 2 of the 3 that made up the run. (server note – series 1 will disappear when we start series 3)
King of Kensington: this is the penultimate episode. it’ll be replaced with Modern Toss if i get the DVDs ripped in time, if not then it’ll be back to Out Of This World for a bit. it’ll disappear from the server one week from the final episode airing)
Battle in the Box: 2 teams of 2 comedians spend 24 hours in a shipping container with a moving partition wall. competing in games that seem like a cross between taskmaster, the cube and possibly a little bit of big brother. The prizes for the games? Stuff for their bit of the shipping container, and more importantly… more space. The wall moves taking space from the other team.
Mysteries from Beyond the other Dominion: it’s getting nerfed from the server shortly after the stream ends, so if you want it, grab it now or let me know in the chat/discord. removing this means more space for new stuff, which is better than a slap on the belly with a wet fish.…
This week’s theme year is 1992. We start off with a random assortment of stuff followed by some inane daytime blathering as Kilroy invites the great British public to speak their brains on the subject of beauty. We then join Andi Peters for some classic CBBC. Inevitably Neighbours follows, then we check into Sun Hill for a couple of episodes of The Bill, and an Emmerdale from our theme year. A special University Challenge features a group of celebs – including Stephen Fry – taking on Keeble College Oxford with Bambi himself at the helm. Crimewatch and some news bring us onto our depressing documentary segment whose theme is army life – we get a good look at some privates in Cutting Edge, which focuses on a group of hopefuls training to join the parachute regiment, then The Cook Report investigates bullying in the forces. We then wrap things up fairly early with some PIFs and a closedown.

It was dramatised from the book of the same name by Aylmer Hall, adapted for television by Trevor “Ace of Wands” Preston, and produced and directed by Mike “Get Carter” Hodges. It was notable for its use of a progressive music soundtrack, including music from The Rolling Stones, The Moody Blues, Cream, and in particular, The Nice (whose song “The Thoughts of Emerlist Davjack”, from the album of the same name, was the title track), and Pink Floyd (whose song “Saucerful of Secrets”, also from the album of the same name :-), was plundered extensively, including for the end credits).
A strange phone call and a wallet found in an old dark house lead three teenagers and their dog to follow a mysterious character across London. First broadcast on Thu 10th Oct 1968 by ITV.
With Candace “Nicholas and Alexandra” Glendenning,…

The Throwback returns after a long hiatus – our theme year is 1988. We kick off at 4pm with a full startup and Ceefax segment followed by a complete edition of Daytime Live. We continue with our usual programmes, Home and Away, The Bill (Watch out for JuMoo’s Lucy Benjamin) and Eastenders. This week’s Play For Today, the Mike Leigh drama Home Sweet Home, features Eric Richard (familiar to regular Throwback viewers as veteran desk jockey Bob Cryer from The Bill). Crimewatch and some news follows, then we then kick on to our depressing documentary segment: a hard-hitting look at the dangers of rave culture in World in Action, and pharmaceutical shithousery as The Cook Report investigates one woman’s addiction to prescription drugs. We wrap up as usual with Electric Avenue, some Open University programming and a closedown.
