18:10You Must Be Joking! S01E02a wry, energetically irreverent comedy show of a kind never previously seen before on children’s TV, this show launched an unknown bunch of kids onto the TV screen with unpredictable results! Led by writer-performers Ray Burdis and John Blundell, and featuring future BAFTA winner Pauline Quirke, the talented teenagers were “supervised” by comedian and long suffering lone adult Jim “Bullseye” Bowen. An anarchic mix of topical and satirical sketches, the series also featured Elvis Payne taking a cynical look at each week’s news and live music came from youth popsters Flintlock, led by the multi-talented Michael Holoway. Directed by Roger “Tomorrow People” Price and Neville Green, and made in association with the Anna Scher Children’s Theatre. First shown by ITV on 11th June 1975.

As my 3 years of hard work upon my Ultimate Retro Gaming Collection comes to an end, I thought that it would be a good opportunity to show others how the collection works, what systems are supported and to allow viewers to select which games to demonstrate for each system, in order to provide a comprehensive overview of the collection as a whole.

—————————

3 years

6-7 days a week

6-8 hours a day

—————————

The collection has been a mammoth undertaking and is finally almost finished (a relative mere few months of fine tuning remains) and when the collection is finished, you too will be able to acquire a copy for yourself! I’ll discuss the details of that potential transaction within the stream.

The let’s play will be accompanied by microphone commentary from myself and hopefully Flouncer as well.

NOTE:
For those that missed this, most of the below will be repeated at a later date (film repeat on request otherwise the Stingray (not that one) feature-length pilot will take its place for the week).

A new year brings with it some changes – a film dropped, a series or two added – a Port Landia’d, a Rubicon cross’d, a Death Bore’d along with a Buckaroo Banzai’d!

17:45 – Space Ghost Season 1 Episode 9 – “Lokar – King of the Killer Locusts”, “The Bird Riders”, “Space Sargasso”
Lokar! King of the Killer Locusts! Lokar! LOKAR!

18:10 – The Adventures of Aquaman Episodes 11 & 12 – “Vassa, Queen of the Mermen” and “The Microscopic Monsters”
An evil sea queen attacks Atlantis with sperm whale-shaped submarines, while in the second half Aquaman has invented an enlarging ray, but the device is stolen by Black Manta. Typical. I knew someone who drove an Opel Manta once, I think that was black too, but he’d got rid of it by the time I met him. Pity.
