Starting off at four with some Ceefax, we have a block of schools programmes and some Thomas the Tank Engine – I thought I’d use some episodes with George Carlin narrating as I’ve only ever seen a few clips of him doing it. We pick up where we left off with Brookie and The Bill, and another episode of Lazarus and Dingwall. Crimewatch follows, preceding more incendiary action in London’s Burning. This is followed by Roger Cook doing a terrorism in The Cook Report, a Dispatches on the state of Britain’s beaches and all the tods washing up thereon, then we wrap up with Micro Live, an Open Unversity computing programme and a closedown.

Whoose Line Is It Anyway?…

We start off at four with some teletext and a bit of daytime telly, then a pair of double bills: Brookside and The Old Billy. At 7.25 strap yourself in for some absolute AIDS-tier, weapons grade industrial shite in Little and Large, followed by Lazarus and Dingwall as (hopefully) a palate cleanser. We continue with London’s Burning (a normal length episode this time) then some news and documentaries. Equinox looks at the construction of the channel tunnel, and World in Action‘s undercover reporter tries to get some money off the social and has a pop at some slumlords in No Fixed Abode. We finish off with some Micro Live and a closedown.

This will be the first instalment of a two part Throwback (I’ll be broadcasting tomorrow as well). We start out with some Ceefax and schools programming, including The English Programme, looking at Minder and the people who watch it! Some kids programming follows, then we have a double bill of, er, The Bill. Security-based tomfoolery follows with Plaza Patrol, then we meet Briggs and Louis in The Detectives. Rather than a film I’m showing the feature length opener of London’s Burning. This will be followed by news and documentaries: The Cook Report looks into Chinese gang activity in Manchester, and World in Action sends a reporter undercover to live on the streets of London in the first of a three part series. We finish up with Micro Live, some OU programming and a closedown.

Glorious Mud

Halloween Special

Apologies if this seems a bit low effort, especially compared to Phil’s excellent stream yesterday, but life’s extremely hectic at the moment! Hope you enjoy, anyway.

Tales of Unease is an ITV horror anthology from late 1970. Reading the synopses the plots seem incredibly familiar to me, although the opening titles don’t look that way (unsurprising given I’d’ve been five!). Possibly due to them being based on short stories. Am showing three of them tonight (out of seven total). Had a quick skim, looks quite good, if nothing else they have some fantastic VT clocks!!

18:00 – Spooky Sheepy Opening Music
18:05 – Tales of Unease E01 – Ride, Ride
18:32 – FILM: Young Frankenstein (1974)
20:14 – Tales of Unease E02 – Calculated Nightmare
20:39 – FILM: The Cabin in the Woods (2012)
22:10 – Tales of Unease E03 – The Black Goddess
22:38 – FILM: A Nightmare On Elm Street (1984)
00:10 – Ending music.
