A special festive Throwback for the denizens of the CaB TV retrosphere.
We start off with some seasonal Ceefax and a schools programme, then T-Bag brings us onto our usual soap section. It’s gonna be a shit christmas for Angie at the Queen Vic in a double episode of Eastenders first broadcast on the big day in 1986, followed by the reveal of the 1994 Christmas number one in Top of the Pops. Comedy follows as we join Compo, Cleg and Foggy for some Holmfirth hijinks in a yuletide edition of Last of the Summer Wine, then Mr. Bean gurns his way through Christmas dinner in his 1992 special. Festive felons are next up in Crimewatch from December 1990, then Points of View and the news bring us towards the end of the stream (I’m a bit disorganised today so I’m going to wing it at the end).
