This Wednesday I’ll be checking out the new GTA5 DLC with Hedge and anyone else who wants to join us. We’ll start off around 4 with some music and video content. Expect gaming around 8pm, then a retro TV block to finish off the evening.
SURPRISE EARLY START!! – NOTE REVISED TIMES!
16:55 – Sheepy’s opening caption.
16:56 – MUSICAL TRAIN JOURNEY – Settle to Carlisle (yes, AGAIN) set to some utterly top tunes selected by Jay Gnasher.
17:55 – Only When I Laugh – S04E05 – Escape – A sitcom made by Yorkshire Television for ITV, written by Eric Chappell (Rising Damp, Home to Roost). It stars Christopher Strauli as Norman, a rather naive middle-class man who is admitted to a hospital ward and finds that he is sharing it with a working-class layabout called Figgis (James Bolam) and an upper-class hypochondriac called Archie (Peter Bowles). All three of them cause headaches for the hospital staff, led by Richard Wilson with Derrick Branche. This week, Glover is charmed by new admission Harry Bridgewater – until it transpires that he is a prisoner who has come in for an operation with a guard in attendance. Having tried to pass himself off as a hardened criminal Bridgewater has to admit he is but a getaway driver but asks the patients to cover for him whilst he escapes – for a night – to have sex with his wife.…

Another rejig marks the eighth edition of the Sepulchre. The visual section will start off at 2pm with an Eastern Championship Wrestling broadcast of Hardcore TV from 1993. Our usual programmes follow. Space Precinct is sidelined this week to allow for a Miami Vice two parter, resolving the storyline from the opening episodes. The evening’s feature will be the the final film in our flight-based franchise, Turbulence 3: Heavy Metal (2001). In yet more direct-to-video detritus, a trendy goth rocker is scheduled to give his farewell performance aboard a 747, for reasons. However, a demented devil-worshipping fan has other ideas and wishes to crash the plane. Will our wallet chain wearing hero prevail, or will he simply crash and burn? After the film, Celebrity Deathmatch joins Daria, along with hilarious pranks in Jackass and international tomfoolery in Wildboyz, to complete the MTV vibe. We finish off with Always Sunny as usual.

16:10 – Intro mix
\ Opening up with a summery stroll around Edinburgh accompanied by some fat beats.
16:45 – Bad Influence!
\ This week, how to cry into your 3DO without Mum noticing.
17:05 – The Krypton Factor
\ I found the weirdness of the debut series of The Krypton Factor strangely satisfying, so here’s another 1977 episode of middle-management twat-provery.
17:40 – I Love 1981
\ The BBC celebrates the recommissioning of its pop-culture ‘oh yeah’ format by juxtaposing Bullseye with assured nuclear destruction.
19:10 – Juke Box Jury
\ Full episodes of the reanimated 1990 series are very hard to come by – this one is nearly complete. It also stars Vic & Bob, Neneh Cherry, and a certain despondent Hawaiian.
19:35 – Denis Norden’s Laughter File
\ Clipboard clip show clapperboard frippery, as Denis Norden pilots a deviation from the Alright On The Night format – a home for mirthsome outtakes that are not strictly cock-ups according to the Geneva Convention.…
